Black Wolf, Yellowstone, near Sough Creek, May 2011.
"Like neither saviors nor infidels but simply (or not so simply) like wolves, they returned to their home, bringing great color and breathing a life-force that some, in an upside-down world, view as destructive—as if we have become so estranged that we can no longer really tell one from the other. In this regard, the wolves are instructors, and in this regard, we are watching them with fascination, with our senses as well as our returning knowledge... —re-engaged and keenly alert."

Thinking about Lamar (the dog and the valley)

This weekend I made a Blurb book of my Yellowstone images from the trip I took in May 2011. The images are the ones that were in my Yellowstone show and a few more selects. Making the Blurb book, I realized how my dog Lamar is kind of the embodiment of all that I love about Yellowstone. So I dedicate the book to Lamar who is 7 years old tomorrow...Happy Birthday Lamar!

Here's my dedication and the front and back cover images of the book. If anyone is interested in obtaining a copy, please contact me at trish@trishcarney.com.
